Startup Day and free introductory course - How to start a company in Norway
Næringsetaten has just launched a new service called Startup Day.
Our first Startup Day arrangement took place 17th of April. Startup Day consists of two parts. First the regular business startup seminar (as outlined above) between 9am-12noon which provides an introduction to the most important aspects of setting up a business in Norway. In the second part which starts appr. 12.15pm the seminar participants get a chance to speed date with the Business Advisors at Næringsetaten, discussing matters of relevance. Participants can choose whether they participate the whole Startup Day or if they choose to only partake in part 1 from 9am-12noon. Registration for speed dating will take place on Startup Day and is limited to participants registering in advance for the arrangement.

Introductory course 24 January, 13 March, 8 May and 19 June:
Næringsetaten arrange a free introductory course in English on how to start a company in Norway. The course is aimed at all foreigners coming to Norway to establish a company. The daytime course is free and is offered on the Tuesday the 24th of January, the 13th of March and the 8 th of May between 12pm-3pm, at Næringsetatens offices in Tollbugt. 27. In addition we arrange a Startup Day the 17th of April (for more information see below). The course provides an introduction to the most important aspects of setting up a business in Norway covering a wide range of subjects:
- How to register a company in Norway
- Deciding on how to chose the right company form
- Tax and reporting obligations
- How to manage your own business
- How to prepare a business plan
